When we defined the historical wells and production wells, the naming was not completely consistent, so we did not get automatic connections established through the wellbore name. Is there an easy way to change the wellbore names?

There are two ways to update the wellbore names, through the pForecast user interface or by importing your data once more.

In the user interface, you will go to the Forecast Properties, Forecast wells tab, select the “Switch to property view” in the right hand side menu. Then you may “Select the Property” Wellbore and you will be able to use the radio buttons to reassign each well to its corresponding wellbore.

The other alternative is to go to Forecast Properties, Forecast wells tab, and then select “Import properties” in the right hand side menu. Download the template but turn the “Pre-fill template” switch to get all your current settings along. Then you may update the wellbore names in the Excel sheet and import it again. By only changing the wellbore names and import again, this will be the only attribute that will be updated, that is, the old wellbore names will be deleted and replaced with the new wellbore names.
